Gilbert Ramirez grew up in Austin, Texas. He was a Medic in the U.S. Army throughout most of the 1990s. After serving, he obtained a B.S. in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin College of Communication (2005), where he focused on digital media. Since graduating from U.T., he's worked in various online marketing roles: Analytics Business Analyst, Search Marketing Manager, Integrations Solutions Architect, Online Merchandiser, and more. On the service side, he's worked at several major SAAS platforms, acting directly with high-profile clients and digital media agencies to drive adoption and optimization. As a consultant, he assists clients with their transition to, or immersion into, a Martech ecosystem.
The Chameleon is his debut novel. Here are some thoughts about the Vagary Culture.
When I can sneak away from work, family, and housework, I like to play with bikes and cameras. I have raced bikes for decades, and I'd love to, someday, turn professional. My family members, whom I'm very proud of, continue to reach new heights every day, despite my efforts. By having children, I've learned more about myself than I care to admit. My mind is curious; it's a good thing. I'm fascinated by communication and how we as a society create and pass on our ideas. Thanks for your interest.
